Neighborhood Services
The Harris County Precinct 2 Neighborhood Services Department focuses on engaging, educating, and empowering Harris County Precinct 2 residents. Through active community engagement and strong community partnerships, our five divisions work in the planning, development, organization, and implementation of programs and services to assist in responding to the issues of neighborhoods and individual residents.

Parks & Trails Division
Precinct 2 maintains and operates 55 parks throughout Harris County. With over 4,000 acres of parks and 27 miles of trails, residents have a wide variety of exciting recreational options. Our parks offer residents of Precinct 2 the ability to connect with nature, their community, and their families

Community Centers & Community Programming Division
The Community Center Division consists of a Director, Assistant Directors, Systems Manager, Community Center Managers, Coordinators, Specialists, and Part-Time Summer Day Camp Staff. Together our teams manage the community center operations, call center operations and community programming at Precinct 2 Community Centers, Precinct 2 Parks, and other locations across the Precinct. Our team works diligently to engage, educate & empower the communities within Precinct 2.

Support Services
The Precinct 2 Support Services Division provides safe, professional, timely, cost-effective nutrition and transportation services. Overseeing Food Services and Transportation Services the division offers essential programming through our Senior Meal Programs and the Veterans Affairs Transportation Program as well as recreational programming through our Senior Trips.

The Harris County Precinct 2 Health Services Division was created to develop and implement an integrated and strategic approach to address the complex social problems that impact health within our community.

Grant Development & Compliance
The Harris County Precinct 2 Grants and Nonprofits Division provides Precinct 2 departments with assistance in fundraising and grant identification, application preparation and support, program development, grant management, and compliance oversight. By consistently monitoring available grant opportunities and resources at the local, state, and federal levels, we identify opportunities that align and support Precinct 2 programs.

Commissioner Garcia has tasked his Engineering and Capital Projects Department to focus on planning & delivering capital improvement projects that enhance the quality of life, achieve resiliency and sustainability in our communities.
