Drone Usage

Thank you for inquiring about drone usage at our Harris County Precinct 2 parks. Harris County Park Rules Section 24 states that both model aircraft and drones are permitted only in specifically designated areas. This policy is for the safety of visitors to the park.

Parks Allowing Drones

Harris County offers the following designated parks that allow model remote-control and drones:

  • George Bush Park
    Precinct 3

    • Open to all drone operators, must maintain a line of sight with drone at all times
  • Dyess Park
    Precinct 4
    16822 Kitzman Road
    Cypress, TX 77429
    • Drone operators must be a member of the SPARKS RC club
  • Schiveley R/C Flying Field
    13939 Kuykendahl Road
    Houston, TX 77090
    • Drone operators must be a member of the Houston Sports Flyers club
